Wait! Back up a second. "Shavonne who?" you might ask. Who is she and why have I lined up her amongst great entrepreneurs and inventor of all time? Shavonne Deann is an emerging fashion designer based in Philadelphia and decided that she was going after her dreams no matter what. Even if that "no matter what" means creating her own runway on the street during one of the most important fashion events in New York, just to get her brand out there and to create a buzz. A great entrepreneurial spirit to begin with, isn't it?

With the last two hundred dollars in her hands, an existing set of clothing designs, support from great friends, models, and boyfriend, she headed out to New York in a passenger van which she rented with her last money and successfully put not only her designs, but also her name, in front of hundreds of people.

After this epic event, Shavonne Deann has been featured on numerous sites including Italia Vogue, The Fashion Spot, The Fashion Bomb Daily, Madame Noire just to name a few. The famous Angela Simmons also became her very first celebrity client. "It feels good to produce a product that you’ve worked really hard on and then see a celebrity wear it, the feeling is insane!" says Shavonne.

As with any start-up entrepreneur, getting the finances together and managing them as well as continually putting the products and the brand out there can be quite a challenge for her. However, to keep inspired, educated, and motivated, Shavonne reads entrepreneurial blogs to give her insight and information on how to make her business grow. She also watches her "This is My Runway" crashing the NYFW 2010 video every now and then to remind her of what she has done successfully and her capacity to be successful at anything once again.

Shavonne currently utilizes social media sites including Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, and YouTube to interact with people, promote her brand, and share her story by to inspire lots of people. Her goal is to have 1 million people view her video this year.
